David Shuker worked as a research chemist for almost thirty years before giving up his lab coat for a workshop apron to indulge his longstanding passion for building and restoring historic pipe organs. As a one-man business David works on small pipe organs but it turns out that there are plenty of those around which need restoring.

The Orgelkids project, which began in The Netherlands is a great opportunity to take organs out into the wider world and David built the first UK kit mini-organ two years ago. Ideally the Orgelkids workshop is hands-on but due to the pandemic David has developed an online version to give people (not just kids!) a chance to learn more about how pipe organs work.
