Helen is a conductor, workshop leader and organist working regularly with choirs and music organisations of all shapes and sizes. She read Music at Peterhouse, Cambridge where she held an organ scholarship, and went on to complete a Master's degree at the Royal Academy of Music, studying Choral Conducting with Patrick Russill – graduating in July 2013 with the Alan Kirby Prize. Helen directs the girls’ choir of Christ Church Cathedral Oxford, Frideswide Voices, and is Director of Music at the church of St Mary Merton, London.

Helen also works regularly as an assistant conductor with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and is the Artistic Director of Voices of London, a week-long festival of choral music held each June. In 2018 she won the Members’ Award from Action for Children’s Arts in recognition of her outreach work with young people.
