David Cowen has a varied career as a pianist, organist, and teacher. For over twenty years, he has taught piano at Loughborough Schools Foundation, and more recently has joined the staff of English Martyrs’ Catholic School and Charnwood College.

A graduate of the University of Oxford, David pursued advanced studies in improvisation with Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin in Paris and was a finalist in international improvisation competitions in both Biarritz, France and Haarlem, Holland.

David is also Organist of Leicester Cathedral, where he accompanies the Cathedral Choir for five weekly services as well as concerts, recordings, and broadcasts.
