Piano Adjudicator

Simon Lane has gained recognition for his compelling and sensitive performances and regularly collaborates with some of the world’s most exciting musicians.
Alongside frequent performances in London’s Wigmore Hall, Simon has appeared in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie and the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and more widely across Europe and North America. Festival engagements include the Bachfest Leipzig, La Festival de Musique de Menton, the Dubrovnik and Ljubljana Summer Festivals, and the Leeds Lieder, Ryedale and Lichfield Festivals in the UK.
Since 2016 Simon has been Head of Keyboard at Whitgift School in Croydon, and he has recently been appointed Associate Professor of Accompaniment at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH) in Oslo, Norway.
Among other early influences on his career, Simon is indebted to the late Mark Ray, to whom he owes a large share of his love of music.
